 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

On June 15th, 2012 President Barack Obama announced that certain undocumented immigrants would be able to qualify for what is being called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or (DACA). If you qualify for DACA you  can receive protection deportation and a working permit to work in the U.S  for 2 years.

Deferred Action is Not the DREAMAct nor does it aid in our youth having better access to college not does it offer a path to citizenship.  For these reasons, Juntos recognizes this as a step in the right direction but not the solution we need to fixing a broken immigration system.   Therefore we also commit to keep fighting for a more just society that is inclusive of all of us.
