Our Community Care team is often our first touch-point with community members, from newly arriving families to longer-established clients experiencing difficult circumstances or emergency situations.
As a base-building organization, we view care not as separate from organizing, but as fundamental to it. We recognize healing as both personal and collective and as a powerful tool for systemic change.
This work provides immediate relief while also serving as an entry point into deeper relationship with our community. As individuals & families stabilize, many chose to become involved with other aspects of our work: attending a political education workshop, supporting a cultural celebration, creating art for a rally, or joining Juntos as a member. This continues a cycle of care that builds long-term capacity for self-advocacy and collective action.
Our Services
Solidarity Bank
A member-led initiative that provides culturally-relevant dry goods and fresh produce to 200 community members on a monthly basis. We similarly stock a pantry with diapers, feminine hygiene products, and other essentials in our office. We also provide limited micro grants and cash assistance to community members experiencing emergency situations.
Case Management
This work supports community members with myriad services, spanning benefits enrollment, school registration, and legal assistance. We enroll youth in summer programs, sign families up for utility assistance, and engage a team of community resource navigators who screen clients for public benefits. We provide translation and interpretation support, accompany clients to court appointments, and assist in securing passports & family legal documents.
Strategic Partnerships
We foster a robust ecosystem of strategic partnerships to increase access to resources and to broaden our reach. This allows us to make key referrals to trusted partners for health care, legal, and mental health support. We are grateful to partner with organizations like Puentes de Salud, La Puerta Abierta, HIAS-PA, Philadelphia Legal Assistance, Community Legal Services, NSC, various area colleges & universities, advocates within the School District of Philadelphia, and more.
